Choose Your Thoughts Wisely
If your life doesn’t look like what you’re dreaming of, it means you have thoughts which go against you. Your thoughts create your life. If you want to change your life, change first your thoughts. Nobody in the world can put a thought in your head without your permission.
Your mind belongs to you – it’s your job to control your thoughts! Choose the thoughts that bring you the results you want. Don’t think anything negative about yourself or about any situation if you don’t want the thought to become real. If you don’t want to be shy, stop thinking you are. If you don’t want to lose your boyfriend or girlfriend, stop thinking about this possibility. If you don’t want to lose your job, stop thinking that it might happen,
Many of our beliefs and attitudes are “programmed” into us at an early age. We unconsciously think and react to the world based on these “inherited” beliefs, and we label ourselves as clever or stupid, lazy or energetic, shy or outgoing, boring or fun to be with, or hundreds of other labels. Many labels are positive and serving to take us in the direction we want our lives to go, however as adults, it is important to realise that these labels and beliefs are not part of who we are we are, and we can choose to let go of any of those which are no longer serving us.
The good news is that we have the power to change our thoughts at any time. Why think thoughts of resentment, anger, worry, guilt, fear, or any negative thoughts about ourselves or our capabilities, when you can choose a thought that is much more happy and productive? The thoughts and attitudes we take towards people and life events influence our state of mind, our emotions and in turn, our mental and physical health, relationships, success, prosperity and so on.
Our thoughts are very powerful instruments we use to either create happiness and wealth, or sickness and poverty. Instead of destructive thoughts, choose thoughts which reinforce you. Choose to think how intelligent you are, and you will be! Choose to think how beautiful you are, and you will shine like a star! Choose to think you are loved, and you will be!
Thoughts are energy. Every thought carries an energy level. You can choose thoughts which lower your energy level, or you choose thoughts which increase your energy level. If you find yourself with a recurring negative thought about a particular person or situation, make sure you have a “stand-by” positive thought that you can replace the recurring thought with, such as the wonderful time you had on your vacation or the new house you are going to design and build.
If checking your thoughts seems too difficult for now, at least start watching your mouth. Never let come out of your mouth something you don’t want to happen! Never wish bad luck on anyone if you don’t want to attract it yourself. Watch your mouth, watch your words, watch your thoughts, and become the creator of your own life!
Your life does not depend on others. It depends on your own ability to master your thoughts.
